Cheers for the comments Johnny9ball, magicsy, bullet_evader, DigiMatt!

SWANKY!!! I've been damn good! How 'bout yourself? I noticed you haven't got an entry for this one - you too busy or you decided give us mere mortals a break this time?!?

More updates soon!

Cheers! priimate.

Cheers Tick and Tiago! Been struggling to get my ass off the couch over the Easter long weekend [just had 5 consecutive days off!] but did manage to catch up with some long-lost friends. So i'm aiming to get back to this project on Thursday - I really have to stop entering these competitions half way through !

Cheers! priimate.

Finally had a chance to post some updates! I'm currently working myself into a frenzy, anticipating a busy weekend finishing this entry! I can work fast enough to finish this, as long as I don't get side-tracked with other stuff [like life and other annoyances!].

So here's the update; I've done the head, and taken a completely different approach to what i'd originally thought of doing. As you can see, i've gone with quite a traditional robot head [rather than a more "golfy" design] after trying three different designs that went no-where really fast! I've also done the wheels [this render has the original tread which was ridiculously deep! The current tread is alot better.]

I've also started on the golf buggy components, beginning with the rear-end, which form the lower legs [like most of the Autobots from the series!]. I'm starting the front-end when I get off-line but am still mentally struggling with what to do with the abdominal sections, as there's not really anything in the middle of a golf buggy! I'll probably have those sections drop out of the chest.

The model is currently weighing in at 537164 polygons [for all you number-junkies! *Glayvin*!] and is making my system poop itself!

Well, enough waffle! Here's the pics:

Cheers! priimate.

Cheers very much for the feedback everyone!

Here's a quickie before bed! I've started on the lower torso 'cos it's been a puzzler right from the start. I've decided to form it mainly from a rack that holds the car batteries that power the buggy. Just need to connect them to the pelvis and chest sections with some kind of chassis. The front of the buggy and the roof will follow and then hopefully some accessories like clubs and a bag.

Cheers! priimate.

Cheers Mike!
I actually started some trial textures before I had finished the first section of the arm. I saved them as presets and then stripped them off and applied a basic grey colour so my WIPs would be a uniform colour. I'm re-applying them tomorrow - hopefully!

It's just taken my screen about 15 mins. to update after switching from Modeler to Layout 'cos the models getting so big! :headbang: Layout's reading the model at well over 1,000,000 polys due to all the sub-d surfaces, but it's neary finished - just adding details and the last few components of the golf buggy now.

Texturing tomorrow, rigging, animation and rendering on Sunday [hopefully!] and submission on Monday!

Cheers! priimate.
