College + Demo reel?
I plan on going to a normal college in the U.S., although it might be a tech school like virginia tech. But here is my question about it. After watching phillips demo reel, and almost crapping myself in amazement. Would it be worth it to make a demo reel just to show of how lightwave is a hobby of mine? Of course myn wouldn't be as good as phillips, but I have a year till I need to apply so thats ample time to make an awsome one. But I am not super involved in after school things, other than ski club. So for those of you who know college things, is it worth it to make a really nice demo reel, even if were not going for an art program?

Your goal should show how you're "well rounded". If you can reference something in your application ot highlight how lightwave is more than just a 3d program, such as it helps with math, art, creative thinking, animation requires story telling abilities which has improved both your structural thought processes as well as your creative writing skills, and things along those lines, I'd say include it.
Hope that helps, Hoop
