Dec/Jan - Norm - lwwiz ( Game Stuff. )
Hi guys, ive never been in one of these contests but I currently am building my own games and well I thought id show you all some of my stuff. I just finished this 1968 low poly camera. I will try to texture it soon but the game engine imp using will create all the reflections and all so IL only be painting a paint job on it. No reflections sorry. I hope I have a good chance but any how here is the first shot of just the model.
1337 Polys only. Last edited by lwwiz; 24-01-2005 at 08:43 PM. |

Ooo - looking good. All happy triangles and everything. Some cars would probably lend themselves to low poly quite happily considering their design

True
True but almost any car can be converted to tris very easy. Its just a matter of how many polys it is before you tri it.
Ill have more of my game stuff up soon levels weapons etc... |

showing game work is fine, but to be considered for the competition, the work had to have been done within the time of the competition (Dec/Jan).

Yeah
Yeah I could have drolly done more with them. But Imp trying to keep that low poly since you’ll never really see em in game they will be spinning 90 % of the it me and other then that Ill have higher poly models mistily. Thanks anyhow though.

Hey, You should probably read the rules thread, if you don't you will likely be disqualified. Not to be harsh but you should also let everyone know which category (norm/noob) that your entering.
the car body looks pretty good. The hubcaps look like they have way too much geometry. You could easily get away with like 12 polygons and a bump map. You could use those extra polygons to make the wheels rounder. Good luck
