Default Rap-tor, fighter of evil

This is a dino I have been working on for a friend. We are looking to make it a bit of a cartoon style, so some of the exaggeration is intentional. Any comments and suggestions are more than welcome, and encouraged.

Thanks Matt. You are the first person to give me anything positive. I know that it needs lots of work still, but it is nice to get some ego boosts. Thanks. I'll post again with an update as soon as I can.

Thanks Jonathan and Kevin.

I am still working on the head. I agree that it still needs work.

I'm not sure about what to do with the tail. Does anyone have any sugesstions?

Maybe it's only too rigid. And it's pointing up too much; that's what I feel about the tail but the model is very good.

Grazie buco.

If that is the case, it should look better when he is animated. But I will take a look and see if there is anything else I can do. I hope to have an update here in the next few days.

And thank you all for your help so far.

I seem to be having "modeler's block". Nothing I do seems to turn out the way I want it to. I did add a tounge, remodeled the eyelids, and some other small things.

So I decided to play a little bit with some procedural textures, just to see what I could do with it. Let me know what you think.

Nice....are the back feet claws supposed to look that way?
That extended claw looks a little awkward.

Yes. Raptors have a raised toe that they use for slashing their prey.

Ok. After how long of not working on it, I have found some inspiration to work on the dino again. I am still working on a UV texture for him, but right now just have procedurals. Any suggestions welcome.

You may want to play around with the shaders to make more of the cartoon look. I would make parts of his head a tad bit bumpier.

Great work.

Thanks guys.
Leo, I had never even really thought about cel shading him at all. But I think that may be what it is missing. I will play around with it and post something new as soon as I can.
