Hello,

This site could really use some sort of tutorial references list. For instance I'm a completley new user. I could really use a list of tutorial in the best order for a complete newbie to get up and running quickly.

It would be great if this site had a couple of "Play lists" if you will. Do the first list if you are a total beginner like me and then move on to the next set etc etc.

Can you please help me?

I can give you a place to start.

Start in the freebies section with the UI tutorial and then just start tackling the rest of the freebies.

3. Texturing
4. Animation
5. Effects

That's the way I'd go through them if I was doing it now.

I'm going to follow your advice. I'm noticing that many of the tutorials are for vers 7.5 and the default menus are somewhat different for 8.2. It's not a big deal but it can trip you up when the realize the button isn't there. LOL

I've got Dan Ablan's book and I'm enjoying going through that but it's slow going.

Alan, you do realise that if you want you can reset your menu layouts to the 7.5 versions?

In modeller, select Edit\Edit Menu Layout... then from the presets drop down you can select 7.0 style.

In layout, it's the same menu path, but the preset is the 7.5 style.
