I'm a huge fan of ATI cards, although don't ask me why. I guess its stubboness and age. I think more LW users will jump on the Nvidia bandwagon than ATI's. That's just a guess, but I've read too many bashes on ATI on other boards.

I've had nice experiences with both NVidia and ATI cards using Lightwave. Each one I buy seems to get better and better although the drivers sometimes leave a little to be desired. I believe generally that NVidia has had better (less bugs) OpenGL support for Lightwave - at least that's what I've found over the years.
I current use a BFG 6800GT card, overclocked to run quicker than a standard 6800Ultra, it's a beast and LW loves it. Cheers, Kev
