July/Aug - Norm - priimate
A big HI! to everyone enterin' the comp (here we go again!).
After several weeks of :headbang:  :headbang:  :headbang: I came up with a couple of semi-ideas, but five minutes ago *PING!!!* (lightbulb!), I came up with something I think I wanna try. A childs bedroom at midnight. A child is hiding under the bed sheets. A torch switched on under the covers, casting a strange glow through the sheets. Above the bed, a demon is emerging, up-side-down, through the shadows of the ceiling, slowly lowering itself towards the trembling child, who can feel the malevolent presence, yet cannot see it... Eewww... I'm all creeped out now! ;P Off to work now - concept scribble later! Cheers! priimate. |

G'Day All!
Well, here's the scribble I promised, it's more to work out where the light is coming from than anything else. I'll probably adjust the camera angle a bit and put in a little fish-eye distortion too. Balancing the moonlight from the window with the torchlight under the covers is gonna be the fun part. I think dropping the moonlight ambience to allow the torch to be more of a focal point may leave the scene too dark (as the torch would probably only illuminate a bit of the bed and the demon's face and hand). Oh well... we'll see what happens I s'pose! C&C much appreciated! Cheers! priimate. |

Howdy All, cheers for the feedback! Hey Tiago2 Cheers for the support!!! Yep, i'm afraid this little monkey was lured to the darkside and is just not willing to relinquish the power offered by Lightwave 3D....MwaHaHaHaaa!
Here's a quickie of the basic bedroom geometry, with a 2 minute button-clicking frenzy of a lighting setup! Hopefully I should have the whole room built and textured in a day or so... if I apply myself.... [I can hear that snickering people! ] Cheers! priimate. |

Cheers guys! Sorry Tiago2, but i'll never turn my back on Lightwave, never... I am however willing to fall deeper to the darkside, so i'm starting a Maya course next week! [*ten minutes of evil laughter*] More updates soon!
Cheers! priimate. |

Howdy! Just a bit more furniture built, and thought I would add some carpet to the floor with Saslite. This was the first render with the default settings - Whoops!

And here's one with the carpet fixed! I stuffed up the lighting I had in my first wip so these images may look really dark:headbang:
Congrats to odeone on making it to the ripe old age of 100 posts! Cheers! priimate. |
