thanks senior Rossi, thanks Jack.

the problem with displacement is you need geometry to get displaced. the quick and dirty way would be to metaform the LoPoly object and SubD it, then use normal displacement (the regular displacement won't do the trick as it works on one axis only).

I'm testing this stuff in Maya in parallel but right now it seems that the only renderer that can handle this satisfactory is RenderMan...

I'll keep testing and will update you, that's very exciting IMO
