ive had a go at uv's an at first i tryed the atlas way but i didnt have a clue what was what so i did it part by part myself then placed each part where it would be if it was a whole model

heres the shot

i havent added teeth yet an i forgot all about his nostrils but i also started an arm idea that i might use im not too sure yet. it isnt all conected right yet but heres a quick shot

hey man...really nice texture!!!!

how did you get that nice reflection effect for those eyes?? what surface settings did you use??
i never know how to set the surface settings for the eyes, so some help would be handy
thank you!!

edit: btw good start with the arms

thanks man, for the eye i just used a uv texture of a normal eye that i found off the net but i changed the pupil to a cats eye and changed the color a bit. than all i did was use hdri with

98.0 % specularity
77.0 % glossiness
28.5 % relfection

the rest of the settings were default

you can even use the eye texture if you want i got it from a dinosaur tutorial but i changed it slightly to make it look a bit evil

those render shots of ur UV look cool. the texture is rather gud. and that robotic arm will b a neat idea. me likes

looking good! My only real critique is the stripes. They look almost like they're spray-painted on.

good job man! I like ur bump texture! the only problem i see is the pink inside, gums or whatever that is... it just doesn't seem right. Or it might look right when u get the teeth in there....

Great start the eyes are very nice, I would put a gradient to work on the bump map to bring out the nice texture.
Otherwise it gonna look great with the robot bits!

just an update to let you all know that i have changed my idea after getting to a certain part of ffx. i loved the fmv with sin and ive decided to make something similar. kind of like the link between whales and dinosaurs but with arms and legs.

i've got some of the head done and the body ill post some screens soon

oh if u dont know who sin is from final fantasy 10 its this chubby fella
