Default Show assigned points of selected weight map

Hi,

Using Lightwave 3D 8.3 on Mac.

Is there a way to select a weight map and have it light up which points have been assigned to it?

Thanks

I believe there is something under View - Selection- More - Maps - Select by Map Influence
which works on all types of maps(UV, Weight).
If you want to select all the points affected by that map just set the Selection Mode to Range and type in 0 and 1.
Be careful though. There are some cases, and I found this when I mirrored some weight maps, when after the operation was done, all right side points had all the weight maps assigned to them(like fingers had spine weight maps, foot maps), just at a value of 0. So you might consider not beginning at 0, but a little higher value.

Cheers!

Thankyou, NoStr0m0

This was exactly the function I was looking for.

It seems to work for points that were assigned 100% influence but nothing less. I have tried a range of 1 to 100 but it only selects 100% points. Any thoughts?

I have points that have 15% for one map and 85% for another map.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

This is not a per cent thing, not in the normal way, at least.
The value is divided by 100 (100=1, 15=0.15 and so on)
You got only 100% points selectet because 1 is 100% and 100 is.... a lot , so it took only the 100% and above points.
Try something like 0.1 to 1 (which means 10% to 100%)
