RayTraced Transparency
In LW 7.5 I loaded up an old 5.6 scene of mine which had a pretty little Galaxy object in it which uses a transparency map. Without raytraced transparency it renders transparent but turn it on and the bugger shows up as a solid. Now I'm no newbee to LW but this one got me spooked, so I'm thinking "Is this another Mac user extra feature?".

If your useing shadowmaped spotlights thats where your problem is. You have to use Raytraced lights.

Thanks for your response Johnny9ball.
Guess I was having a bad day, of course raytraced transparency isn't going to work when the background image is used as just a backdrop (which I neglected to check before griping). Doh! So many LW things don't work properly on a Mac it's sometimes too easy to get into that kind of mind set when you are in a rush. |

Ya its always the little things that are stumpers, usually with easy solutions.
