After thinking about this for a bit ,.. I remembered why I started using extender on my models.
I noticed that when I used smooth shift on models with tight corners or very small details I would tend to get overlapping polys and crossovers. Adjusting the smoothing angle only helped so much but would still require adjustment. When using Extender Plus, a perfect copy of the selected polys is created and avoids the mentioned problems. Smooth shift works fine for many operations but when pushed into details in close proximity, errors can occur. Kind of a long winded explanation but I hope it makes sense. |

Thanks David! I knew you had a good reason for using it. That's why I asked. You do it so simple when you model. Very inspirating and instructive indeed.
