robot modeling questions
hey i'm trying to model this robot for a project. i started on the legs and need to move on to the body. in the picture you can see that it has creases like thing on the metal. does anyone know how to make those creases or lines? i want to make it low poly and i can't figure out how to make those. also i would really appreciate any ideas on starting the body portions. i'm not sure how to start it. thanks

Well, if you want to keep the model really low poly, I'd think about UV mapping it and then applying bump maps over the UV coords to get the bumps...
(You could of course simply try to apply the bump maps as individual bump texture layers (i.e. as individual decals) too, but placing them could get tricky... |

review your model. it doesnt match up in the pelvis. to get creases with subds, use bandsawpro. make really tight edges...along the edge you wish to pronounce...makes all the difference in the world.
