Default Robot Tutorial

Hi

I've just started on Lightwave and have downloaded the fantastic robot tutorial - I'm only halfway through the first part and have learnt so much!

On question - on creating part of the 'ear' - by extruding a 10 sided disc, then going into sudb mode - why does the doughnut shape appear as a 'negative'???

Compare the screenshot of my model with the smaller version from the tutorial.

Everything else in the render view appears full, apart from this part.

Im guessing there is some view setting, but I can't seem to find it in Display options.

What Am I doing wrong?

Cheers
Peepo
