Im so glad I could help :D You will enjoy Lightwave a lot.

For the academic version you just need a letter from your teacher/school saying your learning Lightwave. Then contact Safe Harbor and see if you need to mail it in they probbly would accept a fax also.

Be sure its a freeway you build in Lightwave :D

Ooh I dont know if you read or not when you buy the LW 7.5c academic version you get a free upgrade to LW 8.0 acaemic.

Before I got the academic version I was thinking it wouldent be the full program, but sure enough its the full LW program with all the bells and whistles.

Hey, I tried loading my GIF file into the Image Editor and it won't load it. I also tried loading several JPEG's into the Image editor and set it to loop through all of those pictures and I clicked on Image Type and Sequence was disabled and I couldn't select it? Is there anyway you can load a GIF file into LW? Thanks alot.

Nope, I don't think there is. Lightwave never seemed to like GIFs (probably because they'd have to pay a stupidly high license fee to Unisys to actually implement a loader for them).

You should be able to load in your sequence images though (as JPEGs - although these wouldn't necessarily be my choice of image to load for a sequence - TIFFs or TGAs would be a better choice). You need to ensure that your images have filenames in the following format: <basename>nnnn.<ext> where nnnn is the frame number (this can be any number of digits, as long as its consistent) - just select the first frame, and then check the box in the image editor...

and on the animtion note, i have loaded in a divxavi file before and mapped it onto a tv screen just load in the animation as if it is an image, and everything should work fine
