you really need to learn animation!! would be so cool to see al your characters in movement!!!

How do you go about making this? I have a math project due in a month and I would love to have a character of my math teacher that looks like this in it. Do you just box model? Could you give just a short synopsis of your modeling?

Hey...

@ DigiMatt...hehehe thanks! Yeah I will soone have all the senior dancers modelled and then I want to do a lil animation of a dance routine which will be fun!

@ bullet_evader... Thanks...hopefully animation might be soon I am very eager to learn but I dont have much free time! I spend about 3/4 Hours on the modelling and Surfacing...then about 30min to rig.

@ PolarBear53... I start off by making spheres for the eyes and then in another layer I use an 8 sided flat disc to make the socket...I drag the points to get a nice shape around the eye and then I extend and size the points a few times to get edge loops...I drag the points I have made and form the lid shape etc...

I then work down to the nose by extending my points...I extend the nose out from the polygons I have made and I use spinquads a few times to get a nice flow and then I a 10/12 sided poly to form a mouth shape in another layer and then join all the points together...then I use the mouth loops to form the cheeks and then around to the back of the head...then down to the neck.

I use an eight sided tube to get my limb shapes and I bandsaw where I need my joints... using extender I form my body from the limbs.

I make hands and feet/shoes in seperate layers my hands are made from a tube for the finger and then I copy/paste it to get the other fingers and then work down to the hand making sure I have the right amount of points to weld the hand to the arm and with my shoes I start from a box and build it with bandsaw mostly

I do hope to do a tut sometime soon but I hope this helps for now!;)
