Default I am back!

Well I haven't been around doing a lot of Lightwave lately but I have been around. I actually haven't been using my computer much this last year cause of a couple of surgeries with complications that sidelined me. I had to have a Hernia fixed TWICE what a pain that was. I also had both my tonsils out. I will probably be lurking around here more often. Now that I can comfortably sit without anymore pain from my surgery for lengthy periods of time. Here is some pre and post op pics.

Anything interesting been happening here lately? I think I am going to have to try a few tutorials after I get LW 9 installed! :attn:

Your nose seems to have turned red!

Good to have you back though, Johnny. Sorry the last year has been such a tough one for you.

Anything interesting here - well there are a few changes. We've had a spam problem for a while that has now been pretty much eliminated due to new procedures for membership. We've had a couple of new tutorial writers come in and we've also got the dreaded merger with the other simply sites coming soon. I don't think David and Tubby must be getting much sleep at the moment. Hope you've managed to get fully recovered though.

I am at the point now where I am 98% pain free. Had some trouble with the surgeries but its all sorted out now. I look kind of yellow post surgery eeewwww.

Merger sounds like fun! Are we going to still have different message boards for the different software packages.

Some of those new tutorials look like fun.

Welcome back Johnny. Sounds as though you've had a well sh*tty year. (Hernia ? OUCH )...

Still, glad to hear that you're now well on the mend and raring to get going at LW again....

Hey Johnny,

Looks like you could have done a lot of 3D work while you were spending all that time in bed. I still pop in and read the board when I get a chance.

I could have if I didnt have lots of pain! I could sit for maybe 15 minutes max then I would have to lay out. It went like that for a long time. Hernia is no fun! :headbang:

I also find it very hard to feel motivated to do 3D work when your dealing with surgery, pain, extra bills, its very draining in many ways.

I hear that. My wife broke her ankle right before Christmas and was laid up for 10 weeks. One slip on the ice cost $30K. Luckily insurance picked up that tab but it is insane. The 5 minute ambulance ride cost $900. The city ambulance that showed up just in case cost $150.

Makes me feel thankful for the NHS (what's left of it)... $30K for a broken ankle ... that's insane....
