Unhappy Away for a while...

Well, work have finally got me away from a fast internet connection (*boo*, *hiss*)

Because of this, I'm stuck at the end of a very sporadic 56k for the next month or two (can't get SLW through the firewall on their LAN), so I'm likely to be a little out of touch with the traffic running through here.

I'll be trying to keep an eye on the technical issues forum and answering any questions that crop up (although I won't be anywhere near Lightwave except for the weekends).

If anyone has any pressing issues/questions etc they want me to try and answer or look at, then either PM me or drop a mail.

Cheers,
~~Mark

Aw shame! Sorry to hear this, Mark. One good thing I can say about my workplace is that as long as you're not doing anything seriously dodgy, they don't mind what you do with your Internet connection. A fast LAN connection is absolutely vital for my work as well. Nothing worse than trying to download 23 Meg drivers off a slow connection.

Yep, my workplace is OK about it, but unfortunately I work as a consultant so am usually out on client sites. This time its a major bank so they get a little funny about people simply going off to "dodgy" sites (read netmail, art related, humorous, etc...)

Well you think thats bad Mark. In a month I will be away for 3 months to a place with no internet whatsoever. So look for my lament thread in a few weeks.

Someday we'll all be reunited.
