Default McLaren Tutorial *kudos*

I came across Simply Lightwave last week and decided to join because the tutorials looked pretty good. I'd been wanting to learn modeling cars for awhile and never got the knack down. I tried box modeling and splines, however something always happened where I couldn't go further or I became confused, especially using splines properly. Well...I'm up to tutorial 3 on the McLaren car and damn if I haven't learned most of the things I'd been missing about splines. So far, I've had no obstacle I cannot get past and the cars looking great. I've played around with Bandsaw and have a handle on it as well. I'd like to say a big "thanks" to Philip for the tutorial and the 70 points I've started out with will no doubt go a long way towards new skillz. One question so far...I did a search for Bandsaw Pro and cannot find it. Is it shareware, Freeware or a Commercial plugin? Thanks again.

Bandsaw pro I believe comes as part of Lightwave 7.5c. But for the life of me, I've never been able to find it either. At a guess it needs to be added as a plugin and then you'll find it under the Construction tab > Additional. Its certainly not a shareware or commercial plugin though.

I found a reference on the net of a guy readding his bandsaw.p file and Bandsaw Pro showing up in the plugins list. I did the same and now it comes up, yay. I did have to assign a hotkey to the plug-in as it didn't show up under construct/additional. Thanks for the info.

I guess I have 7.5a only. Is there a Bandsaw Pro plug for that too? Iīve been looking for that along time now too.

Bandsaw Pro was already included in 7.5(a).
Edit Plugins > Modeling > Bandsaw Pro.

Just add it to your tab menus..
Interface > Edit Menu Layout > Polygons > Bandsaw Pro (drag this to the right column, under the desired tab menu)
