I think it's better to use splines to model a car since it's more accurate. However, there are other ways to model a car.
- Spline Draw (the way Philip does it here on SLW) - Bezier Splines (the way Lewis does it) ( He has a free tutorial at www.lwg3d.com , it's currently down, but you might want to check it out later). - Extender (AJ Soriano, Unknown_Limit uses this way) ( AJ Soriano has a tutorial at: http://www.newtek.com/products/light...car/index.html and Unknown_Limit has one at lwg3d.com ) For car blueprints: - http://www.suurland.com - http://www.onnovanbraam.com - http://smcars.nd4spdworld.com/ Hope that helps. Good luck.

I would think box modeling is possible, though it really can't compare to splines. If you do try box modeling, take it slow and try to keep your shapes as accurate as possible all the way along.
