Try Luminosity 90-100% Diffuse 80-90% Speculairty 70-80% Glossiness 20%. In the Advanced tab set the color highlights to 40-50% glow intensity to around 400%. Now go to the scene tab and click on backdrop click on procrssing tab and click on enable glow set the glow radius at 12-15 pixels and set then intensity to 500% is will be a good start for you.
Play around with the settings a little like glow intensitys, and glow radious, luminiosity, to get the look you want.

Ooh you mean for Hypervoxels hehe I just read your title. Darn I dont know if you can apply glow to a hypervoxel. But for particles these settings work good.

Here is a little render with these settings applyed to particles only.
With H-vox's you might be able to do something with a graditent edge transarency to fake glow.

For a rope that is burning and beinging comsumed you could easly add a Transparency gradient enveloped to make the rope dissappear at the point of fire, moveing in the direction you want it to burn. This would work good if the rope is straight. For Deformations I dont really know havent used them much, but its very possible with deformations.

Yup it helps a lot to try and think out of the box because there are litteraly 10+ ways to do anything and everything.

Hmm I cant get that to work, as it just fades the whole rope out at the same time rather than disappearing after the HyperVoxels go past. Anyother ideas ?

Ok here is what you need to do. Add an object like a null and name it Transparency null. Place it at the end of the rope where you want it to burn. Now when you make your transparenct gradient use the "? distance to object". So if your rope is perpendicular to the y axis you would choose "Y distance to object" and set the transparency null as target object. Now make your gradient so the transparency extends below the null away from the rope but the transparency should start right at the null. Now just animate the null moveing along the rope and poof it disappears right at the null.
