As far as I know you can't. Lightwave will allow a .wav file to be loaded, but to be honest you need to load it at such a low quality in order to be able to still get a response out of LW, it's almost not worth the bother...

The functionality is only intended to allow you to rough out timings for an animation..

Thanx for the info. Do you also know what the quality should be to get realtime response? 8 bit mono?

I think you'll struggle to get a realtime responce at any time to tell the truth, unless your audio and scene are both so light as to be unworkable

However, I'd suggest starting with 8bit mono audio, and maybe even try to bring down the sample frequency too (say to 16 or 24 kHz) so you're running at the lowest bit rate you possibly can...

there used to be a plugin called "Audiostream" (do search on Flay.com) but the website doesn't seem to exist anymore. Maybe one of the SLW-members has it somewhere?
