Default eport problem!!

when i try to export i get:

-----------------------------------------
Error

all foreground layers empty
nothing to export.
-----------------------------------------

This worked fine b4 i instaled uv imaginator plugin (which didnt work either).

without this i cannot finish my competition entry .. so plz can anyone help asap?

eps .. i found a work around but dont understand the problem..

needed to have most layers selected

Hmm. The version that ships with LW[8] does the same thing. It appears that you need to select all the layers in your object that contain geometry for the export to work. Only work around that I can see (which is probably the same as yours) is to cut and paste the geometry you want to export into a new object and export that instead...

Dunno. I suppose it does look on the surface to be a bug, but I've never seen it come up on any of the forums or newsgroups. I'd be tempted to report it as a bug to Newtek anyhow. I expect that it should be reasonably easy for them to fix (and rumour has it that the next service release for LW8 will be more modeller specific, so this should be right up their alley

i belive this was a bug, as i reported it and i hade more questions asked about what exactly i was doing, versions, os and hardware questions, i answered them all, havent heard of anything since.
