Default Z brush question

I recently checked out z brush at their website and watched a few sample videos. It is so sweet. The only downside is that since i got an educational discount on LW, i would be spending more money on z brush. I just wanted to know if it is worth the $400 and if i should invest or not.

I'd suggest that you try the demo first, but as a zbrush user,.. I do think it is a great application. It works well as high-rez modeler and a 3d painter. There is really nothing else like it.
