Default modeling problem...folds?

i'm modeling a head (as you can see).
and i've got these "folds" in my face.
i've tried a few things to try and fix the problem areas (you can see circled in red.) but to no avail.

if anyone can offer any modeling tips it would be much appreciated.

ty, redgriffin.

looks like you have 5 or more polys connecting to one vertex, try seclting the polys and spining them (crtl +k) or if that fails you will have to work out who you can keep your shape without the 5 polys connecting at one vertex
