Default Character: Paul!

Hi,

Lede and I are working on a Collab project. You may have seen Lede's Irene Character.

Here is the Paul Character:

I am still experimenting with the hair using a Clip map. If anyone has any tips for the hair, plz let me know I usualy model the hair in a cartooney style, but trying a different look here

The face map is just a place holder for moment

Looking good to me - the hair is a bit afro curly at the end for my liking and the eyes maybe just a little too deep set, but other than that, no real crits.

I disagree about the eyes. Some man have deep eyes. So i don't think it's a problem.
I like the hair but i agree its a bit to curly at the end. Can we see the transparancy texture for the hair ( if you used one )??

Nice model, Dave - you seem to be modelling like a dynamo at the moment - the folds in the trousers are a nice touch. Personal choice would be to potentially add more details to the jacket and the trousers...maybe some pockets on the jacket...perhaps a belt and that strip of cloth covering the flies on the trousers, but that's up to you. Neck looks a little square perhaps?

Hi Fallenswordsman,

Thankyou for your reply. You always have something to say

Hehe, yeah, a Dynamo, thats me I have been burning the Midnight Oil of late to keep my Personal Projects alive!

I tend to flit from one personal projet to another, then go back again. Kinda keeps things interesting

Yeah, the neck does definitly look like he swallowed a cube

I'll add some more detail, but probably won't be for a couple of days, as I have to finish the Pygmalion Project character

Take Care

hey...check the proportions on your arms...they're looking a little short...its hard to tell tho cause it could be the angle of the shot since its not straight on...but i think they're about 3 inches short...if not then boo on me and i blame it on a camera trick...other than that its looking good...

::edit:: looking at it again it may be that the hands are to small...something to look at...
