Dell actually gave birth to it for me! Dell 2405 24" Widescreen LCD. Low response times Ultra crisp colors and brightness. Its very natural to look at a widescreen because our eyes are side by side we are more accustomed to scanning from side to side.
![]() It has a native desktop rez of 1920x1200 and the space you get is unbelievable. Here is Modeler open with Stats, Layers, Numeric, and Surface Editor and you still have tons of room to play in. As you can see I am currently working on the Interior modeling Tutorial. ![]() These pictures do not do it justice its a very low quality webcam and to actually experience this monitor you have to buy one. The color clarity and brightness are a joy to behold I have never laid my eyes on a screen so beautiful. Here it is next to my 21" Viewsonic G220f Flatscreen CRT and if you seen both of these in person the LCD blows the CRT away in tearms of clarity and color reproduction its unreal. You can sorta see in the picture the clarity and color richness on the LCD compared to the CRT and they are both adjusted to perfection with Calibration DVD's. I have adjusted both the monitors with calibration DVD's so they are near or at perfection for adjustments for brightness color ect. ![]() ![]() Now most monitors of this quality I looked at are around the 1600$-3000$ range but Dell steps up to the plate and delivers a stunning quality 24" LCD for under 1200$ you can actually get it for under 900$ now. Some places under 800$ shipped. Anyone who is serious about 3D should look into a dell 24" LCD the difference in desktop real estate will blow you away when your working. It opens you up to a new world of visuals on a computer. Playing games in Widescreen it truly an experience. There was a few times I actually got a little vertigo cause the screen utterly sucks you in by adding a ton of peripheral vision in games. It raises from 3" off the desk to 7" tilts a very generous amount and even will spin 90 degree on its side. If it was possible to have an Eyegasim I think I would.

Once you get your first one you will never go back!
Also no Screendoor effect you get with some LCD's and no backlighting issues such as Light bleeding.
