Hi,
Modeled this one originaly in Lightwave, then painted displacement in Silo 2 open Beta, then on to modeling a mesh over the displaced model using Silo's Snapping tool. - Render and Lighting in Lightwave 9 - 2 bump maps - 1 baked Ambient Occlusion map. ![]() Tasks to be completed: -Paint wrinkles -Paint Texture maps -Sub Surface Scattering Can anyone point me in the rite direction giving this character Sub Surface Scattering using nodal. I am pretty much in the dark in that area :S DaveLEWIS

Hi,
Here is an update: ![]() After spending a few days exploreing Sub Surface Scattering in Lightwave 9, I am now happy with the results for this none Photo Realistic character. The lighting needs some work and perhaps the amount of SSS in places. The SSS amount is controlled by a weight map. I'll also experiment with using a weight map for penetration. DaveLEWIS
