Question Gas FX

Can anyone help me design, or tell me where I can download gas effects for explosions for Lightwave 5?
Thank you!

Well Tere-Ram,
Most of the time people usually use Hypervoxels which are volumetric and used for smoke, fire and explosions. In layout, just click on add Null and name it something. then click on window>hypervoxels. a panel pops up and you then double click on the name of you null to activate your voxel. You can go into the render menu and activate VIPER to see your Hypervoxel to begin surfacing. There are three types of Hypervoxels, default is surface, it looks like a grey sphere in VIPER, then there is volume and also sprite. I think the latter two would be the best for your situation.

oops, I didn't notice you are still on LW 5, I'm only knowledgeable about 7.5 and higher. sorry

Although by far the best way to get realistic looking explosion effects would be to actually film them in a studio against a black or blue screen and comp them in post...
