This is a coal car from a project I am working on. The models need to be low poly so this one is only 1962. The textures are mostly UV maps made with reference photos and/or Photoshop and Painter work. Now on to the engine....

This is for an animation I am doing for the local power company to show a before and after demo of proposed rail changes.
For the lighting in the test image, there is just a single yellowish spotlight positioned as it would be at sunset. It is set to shadow map at 1.1 for a softer edged shadow. Global Illumination is lowered to about 6% and given a blueish-purple color. Spec maps are used to give a realistic look to the car. |
