Default Kray

I see many use a plug-in named Kray. I understand it is a renderer. I use FPrime for render and setting up scenes. What is the difference in use? What is "best" ? Can anybody tell me ...

Fprime is very good with Monte Carlo GI renders. It is much faster than native lightwave's MC.

Kray has nice final gather and photon map options. It is a bit like Mental Ray's FG and GI.

They both have strengths and weaknesses. I use both.

Overall fprime is more accurate while Kray can be faster and cleaner.

Lightwave 9.5 is making strides in GI so you may want to hold out on kray until you try 9.5.
