Default Maverick

Another WIP for my portfolio.

Just basic Materials at the moment, still needs decals. The exhaust is animated so I could pick a frame I liked

Any comments welcome.

Are you absolutely sure that's not just a photograph of a spare missile you happened to have kicking around the garage?

I did actualy get ya, my response was supposed to be a sort of comedy denial type thing. One day I will get the hang of expressing myself through words ;P

Thanks for the comment

Very nice surfacing and exhaust!
Would you mind telling me how you did the latter?

Thanks CheesEv

The exhaust was done with the built in LW PFX and Hypervoxels.

Just setup the emitter in the tail section with a good velocity and a bit of explosion. Then added the hypervoxels. Used Viper to see how I was doing. One thing that through me is that the Black and White Gradient values in Hypervoxels appear to work the opposite way around to Surface Editor!

I based the setting on some images I had of missiles in flight.

Johnny - patience. There will be plenty of time to blow things up in the goldfish tutorial (assuming that's the one that gets voted)...

well, the blowing up part is something we'll all have to improvise ourselves, but the goldfish tute is currently in the lead in the tutorial poll...

Great lighting!..... Blowing up a goldfish bowl would be cool...even more so If it was attatched to a meteor soaring above the ocean with an orchid in the foreground....all of this could take place on a space scene with a nebula.... we can throw in some HDRI's just for the heck of it...how's that sound.
