Default Filming the tutorial

Phil,

How did you capture the footage of the screen when you did the tutorial on modeling a head? Did you film the screen with a camera and the convert it or use some capture software? I would like to know as this is a great way to teach computer processes.

I use Camtasia Studio for the SPS tutes. I think most all the simply tute guys use Camtasia. Its an incredible teaching tool.

Question is, what's the best codec and method for reducing them down while remaining readable?

I'd love to know what settings Peter used on his Creature Feature tutorial, very crisp, you can read all the text on the buttons!
