Default Help with lightwave physics.. please!

I'm thinking of making a ball go through a bunch of pipes and stuff. So i was messing with the physics, to see if I could do it, BUT I CAN"T. I have a ball, and slightly curved pipe. The ball is suppose to fall into the pipe, go through, and come out. I have a collision object on the pipe and hard fx on the ball. I have the ball fall, but when it is time to hit the pipe, it hits the "box" the pipe is in (the box is the dotted line box that surrounds an object in layout) and it just falls without going through. So there is a colision happening. But not what i want. I tried all the setting it had for the collion settings and nothings good. So.. a little help please?

One suggestion- unless it's a clear pipe too much time to waste in calculations and setups. Why not just have the ball follow a path that just happens to go the direction and through the pipe? Or just drop a ball into the pipe and 100% dissolve it, then figure out how long it would take the ball to traverse the pipe and move it and keyframe it to spit out when you want.

If you're hellbent on using dynamics though (sorry SimplyLightwave) I suggest checking out some of HowardM's posts on SpinQuad.com- he's really into learning and figuring out the dynamics in LW8 and freely shares what he's found out (which is quite a bit).

My original plan was to have a bunch of balls and a bunch of pipes with balls flying everywhere. But i have a summer history project and I am now pressed for time.

the collision on the pipe needs to be set to object-advanced I believe.
