Default Toy Car Tutorial Question

In video #5, David uses the untangle command to turn a 5 sided poly into a circle. In the tutorial it shows up on his menu. I'm using lightwave 9.6 and do not have this command. I've looked online for plug-in's etc that have it to no avail. Perhaps someone can help me with find this plug-in or a work around.

thanks,

marc

The untangle tool has been built into lightwave since version 9 i believe. I can't tell you where to find it I don't have lightwave on this machine but i can tell you that you don't need to look for a plug-in

Sorry i could not be of more help.

Not in front of my LW machine now, but, try going into the Edit Menu Layout command in Modeler. As I recall there is a drop down box that gives you some choices for the different LW versions. Check if there's a 9.6 choice. It should reset your menus to the default menu layout, then check if the command is there. Could be way off here... I'll check later, or if someone else could verify...

EDIT\\ OK, go into the Edit Menu Layout command, click the button that says "presets", then choose "Default". I then found the Untangle command under the Modify tab, Translate\More. If you still don't find it then I don't know what else it could be.
