Hey all you Lightwavers that know all the spiffy tricks. I found myself in a bind. I know the sloution is easy, but for the life of me I can't figure it out.
I am doing a 3D primitave for a property devlopment concept. I need to make my buildings appear 3D while conforming to a 2D map. It would resemble something like a college facilities map. I can't figure out if I need to tilt my objects around in modeler or if layout has a trick. I wanted to select every point above ground level and skew it, but I have not found any command like that. My plan was to tilt things in modeler, then pull the camera way up and zoom in so that my ground plate is very close to the 2D shape. Any of you know how I can achieve that 3D buildings on a 2D map result? BTW I am not making any money on this project. Thanks in advance. |

try the "shear" tool, you'll find it in modeler under modify

Great! It works..
I had tried shear before but since you mentioned it, Philip, I spent a bunch more time on it. If I make the falloff linear and stand it on its tip, with the tip on the ground and the spread at the top of my buildings, it works nicely. Thanks for the help. |
