Hi,
i am new to this forum and also a lightwave newbie. At first i want to say that this site is just amazing. Maybe the best site with tutorials i have ever seen for lightwave, thumbs up! :p So now over to my question. I have modell a Lighthouse. And now i want to animate it with some nice, and realistic looking lighthouse light. Anyone an idea how to made it looking nice and realistic? If you could give me a hint, would be great ![]() Thanks in advance, Michael

Hey, i too am a n00b but i have had lightwave for about 6 months now and i was really into all the lights and such but first...
are you looking for a light that you can see oh say if its shining through fog or mist from waves? then you want to select the light (in layout) and press "p" this will bring up the light properties diolauge box then there is a yellowish box that says "volumetric lighting" nex to it. click in that box then click on the box that is now selectable next to it. when the box comes up click on presets which is on the toll bar on the left under surface editor and scean editor and inmage editor. this will bring up a long rectangular box. in this box click on the drag down menu on the top that is called work space...there you will find many preset volumetric light settings....try out the diffrent ones by (with the light selected) double clicking on the picture you want. then set up the light to rotate and enjoy... any questions just ask.

Sarkaz: There is a 4 Meg limit (used to be 2 Meg) on all attachments. If your animation is bigger than that then you'll need to pop a URL to somewhere it can be found on the internet.
