Default CAD to Lightwave

hi all
was hopping i could pick your brains a bit.
i have a client who has designed and built a 3d model in CAD.
but they whant me to have a look at rendering it out in lightwave to make it look nice and real.
i was wondering what the best way to get it from CAD to lightwave would be.

any ideas most welcome , thanx

Have them export it as STL. Then you can use chromecow's STL_IO plugs to import it.

Not the best, but the cheapest. If it is just a part and not an assembly, they may be able to export OBJ.

What CAD system? Also if you can invest some money, get Deep Exploration or Polytrans.
