Is there any way I could change the camera so it wont render in Perspective Veiw, but instead in another, like Front Veiw, or Back Veiw? Or is there a way to turn the "perspective" off? I am trying to do tracings of a model of a friend of mine and I need this shot for the tracings, or else they look incorrect.
I have posted a picture to show what they look like ATM. Last edited by Snoopy; 30-12-2003 at 10:41 PM. |

this tracing is incorrect aswell, because it isn't a "dead on" shot, like the actual Back Veiw.

Well, if you're referring to an actual render then the simple answer is no, but you can fake it.
To do it manually, you need to place the camera on the correct axis and orientation, but then move it really far away from the object. Then, set the zoom level on the camera so that the object once again fills the frame. This is simulating an extreme telephoto lens on the camera and will reduce (although not entirely eliminate) any distortions due to perspective. Another method of doing this is to use a plugin such as Eki's Fakemetric Camera (this is a part of Eki's plugpak) which will set the scene up for you. You can get a fully functional trial version of the excellent Eki's plugpak here: http://www.kolumbus.fi/erkki.halkka/plugpak/index.html |
