Default McDonald's French Fry Texture?

I am trying to perfect a McDonald's french fry texture. Here's where I am at now. It's all procedural with yellows and brown colored textures. I have 3 lights - a white, grey and orange light.

I think I'm going to have to try adding some subsurface scattering. - if I can figure OGO_Hikari out...

You should go for Burger King fries instead, they are much more tasty!!

Close-up it looks like you need some sort of subtle bump map to go with it, but far away they look pretty good if a bit too perfectly constructed.

Thanks for the comments.

Since this is for a video about the fries I am leaving out the salt - since they are going to come right out of the oil. Then I need to break one open and show the inside. So I will get pretty close to it.

The only free food we get is when the department caters it in (usually from Boston Market) after we've been working long days on an important project.

Default update

For some reason PayPal wouldn't take my AMEX so I couldn't get OGO_Hikari registered to try that out. But here is an update with some more bump maps, specular map, and a slight (like 3%) texture displacement.
