Default McLaren sports car tutorial

I just started this series, and realized that the backdrop images of the car are not included. I think that's a no brainer to include them but nope, they're not there. Where can I get these files?

You can get those files, and a video for setting up the backdrops for free on this site at:

usually, they will be included with one of the videos. In this case, they were released for free in the "Free Training" section. For the future, check the free training section first... however, there should probably also be a note about this on the McLaren page... hint, hint...

if you are referring to the text

Rated for beginners, but you should have some basic knowledge of LW's modeler and should be able to navigate the viewports. (Check out our other free tutorials for that)

that gave me no clue that i would find specific images for that tutorial there. no matter, it's nice to get such a quick response in either case. thanks for all of your great help!

Oh! I'm sorry, my "hint, hint" wasn't meant at you, but at the site administrators... I was hoping they'd read this and put a note on the McLaren page.

Good luck with this tutorial... it's pretty long and takes quite a bit of patience to get it right.

yeah, i'm just watching the videos right now, not working along, i'm more interested in the process than the actual car. I'm 2 months new to Lightwave, just got a job where they require me to learn it. I already know 3d max, and took a semester course on Maya. by the time I got caught up with Maya, I had to switch again. It's never ending, hehe... The weird thing is using max after working with lightwave all day, my brain forgets all the shortcuts. oh well, c'est la vie.

ps is this tutorial going to be finished soon?
Cuz I was planning to get it but i see its not finished so i'm waiting because I want all the parts

The last parts are really important for me I think cuz modelling is starting to work ... attention and rendering settings aint really my thing YET

Hope to get some reactions here ... I've been waiting some time to post this but it seems like forever
Cant wait to get it

The exterrior body of the mclaren is close to being done. After the exterrior is done then Philip is going to do some surface and rendering parts. After that then Philip is going to model the interrior.

Ouch. Glad he's OK too. Dropped mine yesterday - put my foot down at a junction on a flattened coke can - in the rain. Can shot out along with my leg, and the bike toppled over - luckily the only damage (apart from my pride) was the front indicator stalk has shattered... (Although I'm really pissed of since the bike is only 3 weeks old )
