Default nuke

i was wondering how to get the mushroom cloud affect using particles...i just cant get it to curl under once it gets up into the air

i am no expert on particles but add a large wind FX at the top, this should be set so it pushes the particles down and outward for the curl under i don't know

u could also try using wind from underneath and then a collision at the top. But its important to get the wind settings just right for the mushroom look! I tried it once!

Take a look at this...

(Right Click - Save As)

It's just a particle emitter and two wind FX. Make a preview to see it in motion.

The first wind FX is a linear draw. The second wind FX is a doughnut shape.

Of course realistically the ploom of the cloud is going to slowly rise so you'd need to animate the position and scale of the two wind FX but it should be a good starting point.

Link didn't work when I left-clicked on it, but when I right-clicked and selected "Save As" (as instructed), it worked!
