Talking Imperial Walker

Hi, ive just started modeling the Imperial Walker, i got the films on DVD 2day, so i was in the mood for modelling some Star Wars stuff, what u think, its early :p

Dang that looks like a heck of a lot of work. But hopfully its worth it in the end , good luck and cant wait to see the final one.

lol..... i know but im not really bothering with polys for this project, im going for altra-real :p

ill keep the polys on the legs low, to help balance it, i dont think it will be over 12000 polys

just started Uni 2day, Computer Animation classes, so im really gettin hit with one hell of a work load but its all good, ill be slow with this project, but im goin to try and time it so that its finished when it comes time to work on out final piece for the end of next year, by then i will be familir with lightwave ( that is what they use at the Uni ) and im planning on re-creating a couple of min from the battle of Hoth :p that would look good in my showreel :p

keep ya posted, ill also start a thread soon with all my Uni 3D work

hi, ive diving right in with this project i got a FREE weekend this week so im goin to finish of this model by sunday night :p ( well hopefully ) ill wont be goin for textures or anythin but i want to get all the detail on it like lazers and stuff, then take a few nice clay renders, ill be happy with that till i get some more time to work on it, ive added alot of detail to the engine and started the head

will this be for a game? if so i think the mesh is way to dense i map and model for some starwars games when i can and this mesh is way to dense for that?
