Is Stuart Ferguson still working in the Lightwave3d team?

How much was that man important to Lightwave3d?
I saw Modo, and it looks very great.It hase similar tools like Lightwave3d but with some improwement. Does this Modo presents danger to Lightwave3d, because Lightwave3d is usualy used for modeling and not for animating. Sorry for my english! |

I would say he *was* pretty important but they've got a whole new programming team now who have found their feet and are now working on Lightwave 9 which, so I've heard, is going to be built from the ground up.
Modo isn't much of a threat IMHO - too costly for what you get. |

Too early to say anything - all I know is that its going to be a fairly major rebuild - and even that is rumour.

And what about David Vrba?
Is that the same David J. Vrba that created IMPACT, i saw his name in the Lightwave3d team! If that is him then, then Lightwave is finaly going to get true HardFX!!!! |
