Yes, it does seem, unfortunately, that our Stateside bretheren will be sampling the delights of 8.2 before any of us in Europe as the bit of soggy string that connects Newtek-Europe to the net is a tad overstretched at the moment.

I've eventually given up on trying to download the update at the moment - going to try again at the weekend...

Yeh, I'm with you on that one, Mark. Its not as if I'm doing any serious 'waving at the moment so I'll probably wait a couple of weeks before I attempt to grab any updates.

If you've tried the new Surpasses plugin that provides layers to Layout, it's broken with 8.2. He's trying to fix it now. Otherwise, all my major plugs still work. And the UV tools are great, but a bit funky. I'll still stick with Zbrush and Bodypaint to do my UV work.

Hmm,,, guess this is a much waited update,, but somehow does not seem to be really wow i must have...

And with the competition with a update in the works.... (think you know who by now) I am not too impressed... but modeller is a sure thumbs up

The UV mapping part should have done that long ago:p

Rendering Engine Update seems interesting

Its not a major update... to me.. seems like a patch. How do you guys feel?

Hmm,,, then again... Modo.. seems to be catching up in terms of Modelling. So come on guys,,, get some wow factor and object oriented stuff in..
