Default Skygen Problem

Posted this in another forum, and recieved no response... Hopefull someone here can lend a hand, or I'll be re-installing LW8...

"I searched EVERYwhere and found no answer. I hope this is something simple that I somehow missed, but here goes:
I'm working through a tutorial. The problem? Everytime I try to use Skygen, it finishes, opens the presets and there are none... but wait, it gets worse. I then look at viper and do a render... NOTHING! Then I open up the Skygen parameters and look... NO GRADIENTS, just a single procedural! I was using 8.3, then when this happened upgraded to 8.5 (hoping it would help), but nothing happened. I can see all of the other presets, and even REINSTALLED Eki's plugpak from scratch and deleted my preferences hoping to give LW a jumpstart. Still nothing. Anyone? Please??? "

Thanks,
LeRoy3rd

I wend back to 8.3 cause 8.5 kept crashing on me

The best solution to lightwaves problems is to do a full reinstall. I know it can take some time but it usually fixes issues where plugins dont work or the interface is screwing up.

Have a look at this. Dont know if it will help but its a lightwave tut on Skygen

That was a tut on SkyTracer2, thanks for the thought though. Have Thanksgiving and day after off, if I don't figure out how to make it work by then, I'm going back to 8 (which is the version in the tut I'm working on).
