Hey All,
I created this character as a logo/mascot for a friend's project at work. She's setting up somethig called ICan (Internal Communications Area Network) for displaying videos and info at our bases and home office. She wanted something cartoony and fun. These pose shots are for the promo materials, office intranet, etc. I'll be creating a 15-30sec animated bumper logo for the displays also. 40" LCD's. OCTA = Orange County Transportation Authority (My day job is transportation planning ![]() Comments and Crits welcome!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hi,
That looks great. I really like the eyes and the brows. What I don't like that much are the wrinkles in the can. Specially between the eyes. Great work !

Thanks for the replies. I know this isn't super-cool like a pistol or a supercar or a creepy creature but I've had fun and learned a couple things along the way. Will learn some more before I'm done I'm sure.
This is my first 3D gig for a "client" so I'm glad to have an opportunity to do something relatively simple, yet fun, and get some good results. She's really happy with it so far, especially for free! @jocco - Yeah, I'm kinda on the fence about the creases too, but my client likes it. She thinks it helps define him as a can. I showed her one without the creases and it looks like a plain ol' cylinder. I tend to agree. Also they kinda break up the spec a bit. I am going to try to bring it in a bit where it intersects with the eyes though. That'll probably help.

Perhaps you can try
- to give the can a more mettalic look - play with the positions and the settings of the lighting But anyway, it is a cool character and when you're cliënt likes it, I don't see any problems. She's the boss  PS: I wish I had a cliënt LOL ![]() greets, jocco

That's looking really cool. I know what you've said about the creases and I know it's always what the client wants, however I think more of a steriotypical approach to the cans creasing would of maybe been nicer.
http://www.recyclethis.co.uk/wp-cont...tin_can250.jpg the ridges in that, only more subtle maybe. Apart from that he's really cool. Love his little mouth.
