When I try to Record Pivot Rotation for the spine skelegon as shown in the Character Rigging and Walk Cycle Video (2:12 min), it results in my character deforming in a twisted, ugly way.
I'm using Lightwave 9.6. Is there something I need to turn off before I record the pivot rotation? I've tried turning off the bones, disabling deformation etc before recording the pivot roatation, but always get the same result. Thanks for your help! R |

I figured out the problem... Here's the steps that work in 9.6 for anyone else having trouble with this:
1) Convert skelegons to bones in layout 2) turn off bones 3) Now record the pivot rotation 4) set a keyframe for the bone 5) Hit "r" to set the rest length (this is the step I was missing) 5) turn bones back on |
