Default Anyone Watching?

Is anyone still monitoring these forums? Just curious. There have been a couple of unanswered questions in the "New tutorial: Headus UVLayout" thread, and it's been quite awhile since there's been any news here, just trying to get a feel for how things are going.

I still come back here from time to time. These are very good quality tuts. Sadly I think big industry and school training is pressuring towards Maya as it attempts to monopolize. Poor LW doesn't get the online tutorial attention it deserves. Hopefully that will change in future.... But don't count LW out......it's hanging on to a non subscription format and attempting to think out of the box.......a big bonus.....I've also found it way more stable.

This site has some great tutorials, however, it's like a ghost town here. Posted questions go unanswered, so I'll do like the rest of the tumbleweeds and mosey on out of here. Goodbye.

I bought one of the tutorials, because I've been having difficulty with the rendering part of lightwave.

Modelling, not really an issue with the items I've been drawing.

The forums seem D.E.A.D.

I posted to a moderator and asked if these forums were dead.

I check in here from time to time. I am disappointed that with all the new features and cool things in Light Wave, there is no activity on this site, I think the moderators are not interested in LW because there is no activity to speak of, and frankly they are not looking for people to help them out. I am willing to help, but it's up to them and apparently not the users, which is why there isn't any new tutorials.

I'd be happy to help mod too, but there would have to be an incentive, as good moderation for a service website is not done out of generosity.

If the company would offer a nominal discount in appreciation for moderation duties, then I'm sure this forum would be thriving.

I've just come from a product forum where the moderation is done by volunteers (when the company earns billions a year, and wont pay to moderate their own forum).

If anyone is taken on board as a moderator on this forum, they have to be appreciated, otherwise they'll go someplace else.

I would be willing to help out also. Just seems a huge shame this forum is so dead
