Default X men II - rants 'n raves in here please

I watched it last thursday and yes, there were some very nice effects in there. Plus some interesting twists and turns to the story, and yes, we really got some answers...

But!

4 things that really pissed me off:

No 4: cyclops; that braindead, square sunnyboy aka as Xavier's puppy :p

No 3: ok, there's this dam, and it's about to break and let loose myriads of galloms of water, and there's the so-called Iceman that can freeze water (hint hint)... and what did they do? Let Mystique drown (? ... the sequel will tell) in her attempt to stop the water... *sigh*

No 2: Kurt Wagner (...in the munich circus they called me the incredible nightcrawler) showing the worst interpretation of a german accent since "the Big Lebowski", babbling and praying all the time, even switching language in the middle of a prayer... come on

and, *drumroll*, No 1: Kurty baby again, he was so annoying, he has to be mentioned 2 times

...and don't jump to wrong conclusions; I really liked the movie, honestly

I, like most people, thought this was odd at first. But the way I see it, Iceman wouldn't be able to freeze that much water fast enough. Did you see how long it took him to make that one foot thick sheet of ice in the hallway? Imagine him trying to freeze millions of gallons in a second.
I do believe that there were plenty of alternatives however. For one, Jean (did you mean to say Jean in your post?) could have powered/lifted the plane from the inside.

I agree that Nightcrawler was too annoying and Cyclops' character was too one-dimensional.

well, would have been worth a try I guess...

and yes, sorry for the mix-up... (just can't get Mystique's name out of my head for apparent reasons :p)

mystique and wolverine are in fact my favourite characters, and they both got developed pretty well in this part.

Default great flick

X2 did indeed kick ass....i liked it better than the first one.....and the jean grey situation at the end was bothered me too... she could have lifted the plane from within but......oh well.....it was a poor attempt to introduce the Phoenix......Still a great movie though!!!

Johnny, you'll have to read the comics, watch the cartoon, or wait till the next movie for that info?

It seems the matrix Reloaded is getting a bad rap. I thought it was the only logical format to follow as story goes.... the fx seemed below par and certain scenes were....bad (don't worry philip I won't say anymore) but overall I thought it was a logical way to follow up on the last movie.

heh, don't worry alley; I watched it last saturday. And was extremely disappointed. Here's what bothered me:

- neo in a priest's robe?? Come on...

- all the fight scenes were way too long

- the people of Zion came across as a bunch of religious fanatics... I was with the machines at the end

_ I didn't like the colors; a little more contrast and saturation wouldn't have been too bad...

I think they could have easily cut the whole movie by 50% and end up with a better one.

The music was ok though...

ok....
- priest robes...meh, I didn't really care...

- Fight scenes..I totally agree...but you forgot to mention that thevfx in the fight scenes were lacking too.

- If I were faced with certain death....I'm not sure I wouldn't go god crazy to

- I liked the bleached look in the matrix....

- I think they should've cut it too and made the "trilogy" in to two really excellent movies...
- Strange though..I didn't find the music as good....
